No mouth device? I wouldn’t put my mouth on anybody, also, it’s been shown than breaths are not necessary.
U forgot to check the pulse
Hello, Thank you for watching our video. We have reached out to Julia Zuza from Response for Life on your behalf and she shares the following advice: "The current Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines do not require bystanders to check for the victim’s pulse." We hope this helps. Best wishes, the VCCRI Communications Team

My daughter is going to be operated too
We wish your daughter the very best with her surgery Ajuna
My father (70yr old) had a stress today and went into cardiac arrest during the treadmill exercise. He's currently in the ICU and on an ECMO and they are trying to save his life. We're just waiting till the morning to have an angio to check blockage and another EEG to check his brain activity. He's having tremors every 40 or so seconds. Took them 15 minute to resuscitate him and he was at the hospital when it happened. He played 2 rounds of golf on Mon/Tues and now this on Thurs. Folks, love your loved ones always, you never know what can happen at a moments notice.
That’s not cupcakke's cpr
This seems to have some omissions... Do you check for a pulse, and how? How long to do cardio pumps between breathes? What happens if you can't confirm either breathing or pulse but proceed with CPR, while they actually are still breathing?
Hi Max, Thank you for watching our video and for your questions. The current Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines do not require bystanders to check for the victim’s pulse. Compression-only CPR is the recommended CPR technique for untrained bystanders. There are several reasons for this, including an increased willingness for a bystander to perform compression-only CPR and the elimination of any confusion around how to accurately perform rescue breaths. Compressions alone can still significantly increase the person’s chances of survival. CPR should only be performed where victim is not breathing or not breathing normally. If rescue breaths are being attempted, the current Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines for CPR are 30 chest compressions and 2 rescue breaths. You can find additional information about CPR on our website: www.victorchang.edu.au/cpr. We hope this helps.
@@VictorChangInstitute Thanks for your advice! Good to know that checking for a pulse is not required, as that can be difficult to ascertain. Also the 30 compressions, 2 breathes. 👍🇦🇺
thanks, this is helpful
My baby has this... we are praying she does not need a surgery this hard. 😢

Is there any danger of breaking the ribs of the person being CPR’d?
Hello Simon, Thank you for watching our video and for your question. Ribs can break during CPR but do heal, restarting the patient's heart is vitally important.

What if you do the CPR on ok person ? Can you do this experiment on living person
Thank you for watching our video and for your question. CPR is needed when a person is unconscious, breathing abnormally (e.g. gasping for air or grunting), or not breathing. To protect bystanders who are acting in good faith, all Australian states and territories have Good Samaritan legislation. It is not recommended to practice CPR on someone who is not presenting as described above. We hope this helps.
One key thing rarely discussed is you need to remove a woman’s bra. Thankfully this is rare as it’s usually males but for females there is a hesitancy to do so. If it’s underwire bra and still on or dangling - you easily could harm one of the rescuers.
As most bras have underwire. It is advised to remove them before applying AED pads as these metal pieces can heat up and cause burn injury to the skin. Research has shown that bystanders are less likely to perform CPR on women than they are on men due to concerns over inappropriate touching, fear of causing injury and poor awareness of cardiac arrest in women. Heart disease is too often perceived as a common illness among middle-aged men, but in fact, the risk of heart problems increases significantly once women reach menopause. You can learn more about women and heart disease on our website: www.victorchang.edu.au/heart-disease/women
QUESTION A STRESS TEST WILL NOT BE BAD FOR THE ONE WE DID A MEAN A STRESS TEST WILL NOT MAKE US SICK AFTER.
Pls help me my daughter has also hole in her heart she is 4 years old
If i see a guy with no arm or leg im not gonna bother him
what makes me scared is the thought of pushing too hard and braking any bones. How much pressure can the chest withstand? if i push 1/3rd of the chests diameter wont cause any bones to brake?
Hi Tina, Thank you for watching our video and for your question. Ribs can break during CPR but do heal, restarting the patient's heart is vitally important.
I have a question about the zipper shouldn't we open it up before cpr as it can cause a harm for the patient ? Thank you for informative demonstration
if a patient doesn't not respond after done 5 times of doing cpr what I'm going to do the patient again
Hello Andreas, Thank you for watching our video. CPR should be continued until the person becomes responsive or normal breathing returns. You can also stop CPR once the paramedics arrive and advise they will take over. If you are becoming tired performing CPR, instruct a bystander to provide support if available. We hope this helps.

How do ribs not snap, esp on an elderly people? I bet that hurts after you wake up!
Hi Bob, Yes ribs can break during CPR but do heal.
Hi sir i have been watching your videos i have a question one of my friend is having a chest pain in the center and every3-6 minutes he says he feel like shock or wave in his chest , so is it related to heart?
It is always advisable to see a doctor for chest pain. Your friend's GP or cardiologist will be best placed to make recommendations based on their personal medical history.

Our Singapore Heart Foundation recommends to shave the patients chest if there are hairs as it prevents cardiac detection process. Do you agree since time is precious and perhaps it would be better render the electric shock first and then do the shaving if necessary when cardiac analysis detection is not sound.
